Privacy Policy
Seer exists to put a student's real record in front of employers. That only works if students stay in control of what is shared. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to change it.

01What we collect
- →Account data: name, email, password hash, role (student or employer).
- →Student profile data: university, major, graduation year, GPA, bio, photo, skills, projects, video introduction, endorsements, and certification enrollments.
- →Employer data: company name, work email, job title, approval status, and team activity such as saved candidates and interview requests.
- →Usage data: pages viewed, profile views, device and browser information, and log data needed to keep the service secure.
- →Payment data: subscription and plan status. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by Seer.
02How we use it
To operate your account, build and display your profile, match students to employers, process payments, send transactional email, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use student profile content to train third-party AI models.
03Who can see a student profile
Approved employer accounts can search discoverable student profiles and open the full profile, including projects, certifications, skills, video introduction, and endorsements.
Students can see when employers view their profile. Employers cannot see other employers' shortlists outside their own company team.
04Service providers
- →Cloud hosting, database, authentication, and file storage for the application itself.
- →Stripe for payment processing.
- →An email delivery provider for transactional and account email sent from notify.getseer.ai.
- →Certification providers when you choose to enroll through their platforms, subject to their own privacy policies.
Providers are used to deliver the service and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
05Security
Access to data is restricted by authenticated sessions and row-level database rules so accounts only reach the records they are entitled to. Uploads such as profile photos are stored in access-controlled storage.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify affected users and act promptly.
06Retention and deletion
We keep account data while your account is active. On deletion we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, keeping only what is required for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
To request export or deletion, email team@getseer.ai from your account address.
07Your choices
- →Edit or remove profile fields at any time from your dashboard.
- →Unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in any message; account and billing email will still be sent.
- →Request access, correction, portability, or deletion of your data by emailing team@getseer.ai.
08Children and international users
Seer is not intended for anyone under 16. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
09Changes
We will post updates here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app before they take effect.
