Data Processing Addendum
This addendum applies to employer and enterprise accounts and forms part of the Terms of Service. It describes how personal data flows between your hiring team and Seer.

01Roles of the parties
For student profile data published on Seer, Seer is the controller and determines what is collected and displayed.
For data your team generates inside your account — shortlists, notes, interview requests, and team member records — Seer acts as a processor on your instructions, and you are the controller for your own hiring decisions and records.
02Scope and instructions
Seer processes account data only to provide the service, keep it secure, comply with law, and follow your documented instructions given through the platform. We will tell you if an instruction appears to conflict with applicable law.
03Confidentiality and personnel
Access is limited to personnel who need it to operate or support the service, and who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
04Security measures
- →Authentication with hashed credentials and scoped sessions.
- →Row-level database policies so accounts only reach records they are entitled to.
- →Access-controlled file storage for uploads such as profile photos and video.
- →Encryption in transit, and encryption at rest via our hosting provider.
- →Payment card data handled entirely by Stripe and never stored by Seer.
05Subprocessors
Seer uses the subprocessors listed on our Subprocessors page. We remain responsible for their performance and will update that page before adding a new subprocessor that processes account data.
06Data subject requests
Seer will assist you in responding to access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection requests relating to data in your account, taking into account the nature of the processing.
07Incidents
Seer will notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your account data, with the information available at the time and updates as the investigation progresses.
08International transfers
Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, transfers rely on approved mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
09Audit and deletion
On written request no more than once a year, Seer will provide reasonable information about the security measures described here.
On termination, account data is deleted or returned within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
10Signing
Employers who need a countersigned copy of this addendum should email team@getseer.ai from an authorized company address.
